The house has been recently furnished to a high standard and is especially suited to walkers and those interested in outdoor pursuits. Newton Stewart is just 10 minutes drive away from the stunning Glen Trool area and is the gateway to the Galloway Forest Park. The whole area provides a wealth of fabulous walks of all degrees of difficulty, from high hill walking and rugged coastal walks to gentle river and forest walks. There are over 24 named peaks above 600m in this part of Scotland with Merrick being the highest at 830m. Something for everyone! There are numerous cycle trails and there is also ample coarse fishing, trout fishing and even sea fishing. There is a golf course in Newton Stewart but also plenty of others within an hours drive. Should you wish to have a day on the beach there are some lovely bays within 30 minutes drive. |
